Welcome To The Family Of Eight

The inception of The Family of Eight in Doha, Qatar, marks a divine calling orchestrated by the Almighty Himself. Inspired by a profound revelation granted to our founder and convener, Mr. Opeyemi Ayodele, in a night vision, this group stands as a testament to the transformative power of worship and gospel music. Through this sacred encounter, Mr. Ayodele’s unwavering passion and fervent desire to serve God through melodies of praise were affirmed, propelling the birth of our collective mission.

Driven by the belief that gifts bestowed upon us are meant to be shared for the glory of God, The Family of Eight serves as a beacon of inclusivity and unity in the realm of worship. As a melting pot of diverse talents, backgrounds, and denominations, we embrace our interdenominational identity wholeheartedly. This unity not only enriches our musical journey but also fosters holistic growth—nurturing spiritual depth and physical well-being within our community.

In our pursuit of spiritual excellence and musical proficiency, The Family of Eight endeavors to create a nurturing environment where individuals are empowered to thrive. Beyond honing our musical craft, we are committed to fostering personal and spiritual development, equipping each member to fulfill their divine purpose. Together, we aspire to elevate the sounds of worship, transcending boundaries and touching hearts with the transformative power of God’s love manifested through song. Join us as we journey together, united in our dedication to spreading the message of hope and salvation through the universal language of music.

Why the Name ``Family of Eight?``

So many people have been asking why the Family of Eight, are we to be eight in number, or eight on the stage? After four years of my wife and I waiting for a child, the lord showed to me in a night vision late 2018, in which I saw myself & my kids singing and worshiping God on a stage with a group named “The Family of Four ”.

Then I asked God how possible could that vision be, and that was because the vision came after doctors had said that my wife’s two fallopian tubes were blocked, and that there was no way for her to conceive except by In vitro fertilization (IVF).

I never doubted what he could do but I knew that the possibility of that vision would definitely take years since my wife and I had no child at the time.

Out of curiosity, I asked God if this vision could be extended beyond my family and also, if the group could be named “The Family of Eight”.

In that friendly interaction, God accepted, and he confirmed it! Though I didn’t know it was going to mean either Eight Nationalities, Eight Generations or Eight Nations? This was an obvious mystery which I could not explain at the time, but the only thing I know is that all of you here today are the Family that the lord was talking about.
